Hi, I'm Carol, thank you for stopping by and taking a look at my website. I am a botanical and mixed media artist and designer working in colour pencil, watercolour and gouache. My training in art began at the tender age of 16 when I was interviewed for art school and accepted. (the general acceptance age was 18). I completed a 4 year degree in Graphic Design & Advertising and after graduating, I began my career as an Art Director.

I have worked as an Art Director, Visualizer and Illustrator winning awards in D&AD (Design & Art Direction) and having many of my designs and artworks used for large brands, British Airways, DC Comics, Pizza Hut, Cadburys are just a small selection.

After having a family I obtained a degree in teaching and wanted to share my passion for art, sharing my wealth of information and showing the world how to draw and paint.

My enthusiasm for learning has always been in my life, after graduating and working in advertising I attended night school at Central St Martins and The Chelsea School of Art to study Portrait and Life Drawing and in 2016 I began a course with The Botanical Society and my love for botanical art, having work chosen for the annual art exhibition at the Mall Gallery, London.

I have sold numerous pieces of art privately and completed many commissions. 

The main reason and passion I have for teaching is simple, art, the act of drawing and painting has immense benefits to our well being. it can reduce stress, provide a sense of achievement and in our Love Art and Learn art courses we have inspired a sense of community, friendship and a calm, safe space to learn. 

In the words of my students, I have built a community of art. My art courses, sketch days, yearly exhibitions, art holidays and lunches have brought our community of artists together. What an achievement and one I am immensely proud of.
